Your Year-End Review
This time of year, things slow down at Club Ed and I have time to reflect on the past year. I always learn a new lesson or two.
This year, the lesson was “simplify.” It may not look like it when you see all of the classes available on Club Ed, but we’ve streamlined a lot of business operations behind the scenes.
In 2025, I’ll be looking for more ways to simplify things. To do that, I’m performing a year-end review. (You can join me.)
How to Do a Year-End Review
As I’ve said, this year one lesson I’ve learned was “simplify.” But there’s always another lesson or two hidden in the numbers, something I’ll learn as a result of really looking at them. Maybe I’ll notice a trend in the types of classes that are most popular or the types of content that get the most interaction.
That’s valuable information I’ll use going forward, but if I didn’t stop for this review, I’d just be guessing about what worked.
As I do my planning for 2025, I’ll take these lessons into account and make adjustments. My goal is always to do good work that allows me to earn a reasonable income without overworking. So, every decision I make comes back to that.
Take time for a year-end review. Look at what worked and what didn’t, where you made money, where you spent money, whether what you’re doing now is working as well as you’d like. You’ll be glad you did!
